Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan, located at the foot of the picturesque Trans-Ili Alatau. The city was founded in 1854 and remained the capital of the country for a long time.

Next we will travel to Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. This is a real treasure with crystal clear waters and picturesque shores surrounded by majestic mountains. Here you will find cozy resorts, thermal springs and unforgettable views that will forever remain in your memory. Issyk-Kul is a place where nature and culture merge into a harmonious unity, giving every traveler an unforgettable experience.

1 day

Welcome to Almaty

  • Arrival in Almaty and acquaintance
  • Meeting at the airport with a company representative/guide.
  • Transfer and check-in to the hotel.
  • Free time to relax after the trip.
  • Evening meeting with the guide: discussion of the route, features of the tour and wishes of the participants.

Day 2

Shymbulak ski resort and sightseeing tour of Almaty

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • A trip to the Medeo gorge – one of the most picturesque places in the vicinity of Almaty, where
    there is a famous high-mountain skating rink.
  • Ascent by cable car to the Shymbulak resort:

    – First level: Medeo station (1,700 m above sea level).
    – Second level: Chimbulak station (2,260 m) – there are cafes, panoramic
    views, recreation areas.
    – Third level: station “Talgar Pass” (3,200 m) – stunning views of the Trans-Ili mountains
    Alatau, an opportunity to take beautiful photos and enjoy the clean mountain air.
  • Return to the city and sightseeing tour of Almaty:

    – Visit to Republic Square and the Independence Monument.
    – Park of 28 Panfilov Guards and the famous Zenkovsky Cathedral.
    – Free time in the city center (optional – visit to a coffee shop, walk along Arbat).
  • Return to the hotel and rest.

Day 3

Lake Kolsai and Charyn Canyon – the beauty of wild nature

  • Breakfast to go, departure from Almaty
  • Early start for a busy day. Along the way there are beautiful landscapes and photos of feet.
  • Arrival at Lake Kolsai (first lake)
  • The pearl of the Tien Shan, surrounded by coniferous forests and mountains. Walk along the shore
    outdoor recreation.

    – Optional – riding a catamaran or riding a horse.
  • Dinner
  • Transfer to the Charyn Canyon
  • A stunning natural monument reminiscent of a mini-Grand Canyon. Walk through
    “Valley of Castles” among majestic rocks.

    – Free time for photography and relaxation
    – An opportunity to enjoy the silence, nature and take bright pictures.
  • Return to Almaty

4 day

Excursion tour: Green Bazaar and National Museum of Kazakhstan

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Green Bazaar (Central Market of Almaty)

    – Immersion in the atmosphere of a real oriental market. Here you can see, taste and purchase local delicacies: dried fruits, nuts, meat products, spices, honey, Kazakh sweets and much more. An ideal place to discover the gastronomy and culture of the local people.
  • National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    – One of the largest and most modern museums in Central Asia. Exhibits cover everything from ancient archaeological finds to modern history and art. Particular attention is paid to the Hall of Gold, artifacts of the Great Steppe and interactive exhibitions. A guided tour will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the history, culture and development path of Kazakhstan.

5 day

Farewell to Almaty and travel to Kyrgyzstan

  • Early check-out from the hotel at 03:00-04:00 am
  • Transfer to the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
  • Arrival early in the morning at the Kordai border checkpoint
  • Meeting with the guide-driver on the Kyrgyz side
  • Departure to the city of Cholpon-Ata, further to Issyk-Kul
  • Visit to the National Ethnic Complex “Rukh Ordo”, excursion.
  • Checking into the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 6

Kyrchyn Gorge – Museum of Petroglyphs

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Trip to the Kyrchyn gorge
  • Excursions and relaxation in the picturesque gorge. (Tourists can buy drinks and food and have a picnic there)
  • Return to the city, on the way visit the open-air petroglyph museum.
  • Lake cruise (extra charge)
  • Return to the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 7

Cholpon-Ata – Karakol

  • Breakfast and early departure to the city of Karakol (Przhevalsk)
  • Arrival in the city and visit to the Old Orthodox Church, excursion
  • Next, visit the old Dungan mosque, excursion.
  • A short tour of the city.
  • Visit to the Karakol ski resort, excursion or visit to the hot springs
  • Departure to Cholpon-Ata
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 8

Returning home

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Early morning departure to Kazakhstan through the Ak-Zhol border checkpoint
  • Transfer to the airport

NOTE:

  • Time stamps in the program are indicative and depend on weather and other factors.
  • The program may be adjusted depending on the date and time of arrival of tourists, and the tour operator reserves the right, at its discretion, to change the object of visit (museums and cultural sites), places of overnight stays and adjust the travel schedule.
  • Copying, distribution, or other use of the tour (excursion) program without the written permission of the author (Chuchuna LLC) is not permitted. Any violation of the author’s rights will be prosecuted on the basis of Russian and international legislation.

Terms of booking and payment

  • The tour is considered booked upon payment of a deposit in the amount of 30% of the tour cost by bank transfer to the account of Chuchuna LLC based on the agreement.
  • The balance of payment by bank transfer no later than 14 calendar days before the start of the tour, unless other terms or other forms of payment are agreed upon additionally.

The tour price includes:

  • Hotel accommodation
  • Entrance tickets to all attractions according to the program.
  • Tickets for the cable car to Shymbulak.
  • Daily 2 bottles of drinking water per person.
  • Transport service throughout the entire route.
  • Professional guide services.
  • Environmental fees for national parks and protected areas.

The price does not include:

  • Air tickets from Yakutsk to Almaty and back.
  • Nutrition.
  • Additional services at the request of the tourist not included in the tour program
  • Personal expenses of tourists.
