We have a long journey ahead full of wonderful events: getting to know the city of Yakutsk, a road trip along the Kolyma Highway, relaxing on the shores of the famous Lake Labynkyr, and nighttime gatherings by the fire. The foot of a human rarely steps in these places.

Many unusual tales and legends surround this lake of Yakutia, connected with the “Labynkyr Monster”. But the lake is also interesting for its beauty and exciting fishing for fish of unprecedented size.

Lake Labynkyr has water clarity of up to 10 meters. The river of the same name, Labynkyr — a tributary of Tuora-Yuryakh and Indigirka — flows into the lake and flows out through an icy, non-melting dam.

Here forests and mountains stand proudly, completely untouched by man. Mysterious calm and rare sounds of nature surround you, making you involuntarily think about the meaning of life itself. And if you are an avid fisherman – then this is heaven!

🌄 Day 1. Getting to know Yakutsk

Meeting with a guide at the airport, departure for a tour. Time difference with Moscow is 6 hours.

Check-in to the hotel from 14:00. If guests arrive on a morning flight, you can check in after the tour program. Luggage can be left in the storage room.

10:30-11:50 Tour of the ethnographic complex “Us Kut”, performing the ancient blessing ceremony “Algys”.

The Us-Kut tourist complex, located in the vicinity of Yakutsk, is famous for its good traditions and is based on the hospitality and hard work of the Atlasov family, who put their love for their native land into it. Tourists can get an idea of the ancient culture of the Sakha people: hear khomus and toyuk, see national rituals — treating spirits, cleansing, greeting the sun. On the territory of the center there are buildings characteristic of Yakut life.

12:00-12:45 Tour of the underground complex “Kingdom of Permafrost”

The “Kingdom of Permafrost” is a complex in a glacier located inside a mountain, with the residence of the Yakut Winter, Chyskhaan – the Lord of Cold, the room of the Master of the North, Exhibition Halls of the Ice Sculpture Festival, a large paleontological exhibition of mammoth fauna objects, an ice slide and an Ice Bar.

12:50-13:30 Climbing to the observation deck of the sacred mountain “Chochur Muran”, walking on the mountain.

The mountain offers a beautiful view of the Tuymaada Valley, where Yakutsk, the capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), is located. Chochur Muran — translated from Yakut means “pointed hill”. The hill is revered as a sacred mountain. According to legends, the first ancestor of the Yakuts in the middle reaches of the Lena River, Elley Botur, organized the first Ysyakh (national summer holiday) here.

14:00-15:30 Tour of the Mammoth Museum

The World Mammoth Museum was established in 1991 as a scientific and cultural center for the study of mammoth fauna and its habitat during the Ice Age. It is located in the capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) — Yakutsk. In 1995, the museum became part of the Academy of Sciences of the RS (Y). This unique, specialized museum stores, studies and displays interesting and unique paleontological exhibits.

🌄 Day 2. Khandyga and the Road of Bones

08:00 Departure from Yakutsk towards Khandyga. Distance from Yakutsk to Khandyga: 365 km.

— We go to the ferry crossing across the Lena River. There may be queues at the crossing, depending on the day of departure. Distance to Nizhny Bestyakh village is 25 km.

— Lunch at the roadside cafe Tyungyuly (average bill 500 RUB, not included in the tour price).

16:30 Visit to the Cherkekh Historical and Memorial Open-Air Museum in the village of Cherkekh, Tattinsky Ulus, RS(Y).

— Ferry crossing across the Aldan River (queues possible, depending on the day of departure).

22:00 Arrival in Khandyga late in the evening.

🌄 Day 3. On the road to the Pole of Cold

8:00 Departure from the hotel (Khandyga – Tomtor). Distance from Khandyga along the highway – 520 km.

10:00 Breakfast at the roadside cafe in the village of Tepliy Klyuch (not included in the tour price).

— Along the Kolyma federal highway, there will be beautiful views against the backdrop of the Verkhoyansk Range and sections of roads with mesmerizing views: Yellow, Black cliffs, Hare Loop — these sections once made motorists tremble with their particular difficulty.

12:00 Photo session at the Tomporuk Pass, at the memorial cross to the victims of the Gulag.

— Late lunch-dinner at the roadside cafe in the village of Kyubyume “Kuba” (average bill 500 RUB, not included in the tour price).

22:00 We will be at the hotel late in the evening.

🌄 Day 4. Departure to Labynkyr

Breakfast at the hotel. Boarding ATVs (or quad bikes depending on road conditions) and departure towards Lake Labynkyr.

🌄 Day 5. Arrival at Labynkyr

Wake up. Breakfast. Continue our way to the lake.

Arrival at Lake Labynkyr towards evening. Check into the guest house.

Accommodation up to 6 people, maximum 8 (bunk beds, banya, internet).

🌄 Day 6. At Labynkyr

Excursions around the area. Fishing. Motorboat rides on the lake. Relaxation and banya.

🌄 Day 7. At Labynkyr

Excursions around the area. Fishing. Motorboat rides on the lake. Fishing for trophy pike, Siberian char (topy) – spinning.

🌄 Day 8. At Labynkyr

Fishing on the Labynkyrka River – the river is often shallow, winding and rocky in places. Fishing for grayling and lenok.

🌄 Day 9. Way back home

Departure to Tomtor village.

The program may be adjusted depending on the date and time of tourists’ arrival, and the tour operator reserves the right to change the visited object (museums and cultural sites), overnight places and slightly adjust the schedule at its discretion.

💳 Booking and payment conditions:

The tour is considered booked upon payment of a deposit of 30% of the tour cost by bank transfer to the account of LLC “Chuchuna” based on the contract.
The remaining payment by bank transfer no later than 28 calendar days before the start of the tour, unless other terms or other forms of payment are additionally agreed upon.
