Why Visit Yakutia?

Yakutia (the Sakha Republic) is Russia’s largest and most mysterious region. It’s a land of permafrost and summer heat, endless taiga and mighty rivers, ancient shamanic traditions and warm hospitality. Here you can see the Northern Lights, walk among the frozen Lena Pillars, celebrate the Ysyakh festival, or raft through the Golden Rocks of the Sinyaya River.

Climate: When to Come

Yakutia is famous for its extreme temperatures: in winter the thermometer can drop to -60°C and below, and in summer rise to +35…+40°C. Despite the harsh climate, the air is very dry, so both cold and heat are easier to bear. The main thing is to choose the right clothes, and we will help you with that.
